The Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata) can be seen on Fuerteventura. This small bird is up to 14.5 centimetres in length, adults have grey-brown upperparts and whitish underparts, with a streaked crown and breast. Their legs are short and black, and their bill is black broad and point.

These aerial insectivores can often be seen hunting from perches, flying to catch flying insects passing by and often returning to the same perch.

Spotted some Spotted Flycatches in in El Cotillo,Fuerteventura, I'm sure I have seen them before but very rarely do they stay still long enough to get a decent photo.
