Found this good local bar when walking to the shop, stopped for a few beers, met some local people and had a bite to eat to soak up the beer. Chicken croquettes and chips, basic food but did the job, friendly place and the chap spoke good English.
El Mentidero is a small friendly cafe with great food tucked away in a side street. I tried the Baguette de Magica Tindaya which was incredible, a fresh baguette lightly toasted filled with goat cheese, tomato with a dash of olive oil and oregano. It's amazing how something so simple can taste so good. The cortado's were well above average and certainly the best so far that I have had in El Cotillo if not Fuerteventura. They take cash only...
El Golosa AKA The French Bakery has a fine selection of freshly made baguettes, sandwiches, cakes and pastries. We had a cortado and tried the red berry crumble (Crumble Rojos) which were both very good. This place gets very busy and often there's nowhere to sit but we were lucky at around 1pm on a Wednesday.
Leo's Beach Bar has recently changed its name from from Ocean Deli. Very friendly staff, very hospitable, nice cold beer, excellent coffee and nice beach views sheltered from the wind. Visited on a Friday afternoon and didn't eat but the menu looked great and includes good old British fish and chips and Chicken Tikka. Well worth a visit and close to the beach.
Was good to find this place near an apartment we are staying in, had no idea they did take away until we asked a bloke walking with a pizza box. Nice fresh pizza and a calzone, tasty but a bit pricey but it was freshly made.
Came here for the fresh fish and we were not dissapointed. Absolutely delicious. The sea view was an added bonus. Good prices and very lovely staff.
Very nice place. Right near the beach, perfect to watch the sun set. We only had a snack but it was very good, prices good and staff very friendly.
Went to Kalima and tried menu of the day, good value, friendly place and they spoke good English. Quite basic but tasty enough, we had melon with Serrano ham, a pork chop and chips, coffees and juice for two and it cost 22 euro including a tip. Will go again and try some tapas dishes that looked good.

Friendly place, we had four kids with us so it was great as they played in the play park opposite and made friends with some local kids., coffee and cakes were nice.

Saw a review on fuerteguide about the goat sausage so had to go to La Morocha to try it, very good and worth a visit
La Morocha in El Cotillo is a great place to eat meat at the lagoon beaches end of the village. The rib eye steak was delicious as were the empanadas. Reasonably priced, very helpful and friendly Argentinian staff, well worth visiting if you like meat from South America, the rib eye was from Uruguay.
Booked online and took the family, everything went smoothly with the booking and online ticketing. We had an excellent day out and found plenty to do in Playa Blanca within walking distance of the ferry. We walked along the promenade where there are loads of bars and restaurants then stopped at a nice beach for a swim to cool down followed by a delicious seafood lunch. There's plenty of shops along the road behind the promenade where we found some...
