    • Los Lagos beach is situated near the town in El Cotillo, it's a beautiful beach with white sand, and volcanic rocky areas especially at low tide, there's a couple of lagoons with calm water protected from the open ocean which are perfect for swimming or snorkelling in the crystal clear water.

    The beach is not usually very busy and is easily accessible via car or by bus, the bus stop is fifty metres or so along the road and there's ample car parking close by. There are several restaurants and a small supermarket within walking distance which are ideal as there are no toilet facilities at this beach.

    This is an ideal beach to relax on, you can find isolated sandy areas with rock pools, ideal if you have small children as you can make use of natural paddling pool. At the rocky areas and outside of the lagoons it's ideal for experienced surfers as often there are huge waves, it's great to watch them and at times quite amazing.

    Quite windy today but still warm in El Cotillo, saw a solo wind surfer making the most of it at the beach down the side of Leos (Formerly Ocean Delhi), great fun to watch.

    Bodyboarders enjoying the worst calima in decades in El Cotillo Fuerteventura,these photos were taken around midday and the sun barely broke through the dust, it was still hot though.

    Surf,Surfers and Seagulls
    Picked up some nice lunch at the French Bakery and spent an hour at Los Lagos beach in El Cotillo opposite the Sotavento Italian Restaurant. The beach was quiet with only a handful of sunbathers and seagulls but there was about half a dozen surfers who provided good entertainment.

    Noisy waves and nice sunset
    We were walking towards the old town for dinner, heard the waves crashing and went for a look, it was so lovely just sitting on the rocks listening and watching that we ended up staying till the sun set.

    Amazing Kite Surfing

    Saw an amazing Kite Surfing performance here yesterday evening, we parked to get an ice cream and noticed this kite surfer right by the sharp rocks. No Fear, Awesome!
