Fuerteventura Markets Schedule

There are several weekly markets on Fuerteventura, where local arts and crafts, local produce, food, clothing, shoes, hats, second hand, and new goods can be found along with African wood carvings and jewellery. It's fine to haggle, often expected, and part of the fun, so don't just pay what they ask, haggle and get yourself a bargain.

You can find all kinds of goods here, and it's perfectly fine, and often expected to haggle which can be quite entertaining, so grab yourself some bargains. Apart from the Market, the busy tourist town of Corralejo has a harbour, which was originally used by local fishermen, and now has a marina, and a ferry terminal. From here you can take the ferry to the nearby island of Lanzarote, passing the island of Los Lobos on the way, which you can also take a ferry to.

The town of La Oliva is located inland on the north of Feurteventura on the bus route from Corralejo to El Cotillo. Casa de los Coroneles, and the Centro de Arte Canario Casa Mane are worth a visit where work from well known Canarian artists is exhibited.

Sail from Corralejo in Fuerteventura to the luxurious Rubicon Marina in Lanzarote and visit the artisan market where you can buy textiles, handicrafts, accessories, souvenirs, visit the fashion shops or relax on a beautiful terrace. Later, board a luxurious catamaran in the direction of the paradisiacal beaches of Papagayo. A mojito and tortilla will be waiting to welcome you aboard, we sail along the coast, skirting around the beaches of Papagayo. We will anchor close to the coast of Papagayo where  on board, you will enjoy an exquisite freshly cooked paella, and a free bar with beer, sangria, water and soft drinks. You can participate in various water activities, such as snorkelling, kayaking or relaxing on air beds.

A coach will pick you up at your hotel or the pickup location closest to your hotel and take you to Corralejo, where you will board a ferry and travel to Lanzarote. Afterwards, you will sail by catamaran back to Playa Blanca and board the ferry to Fuerteventura, a coach will take you from Corralejo back to your hotel or the pick-up point closest to your hotel.

Alternatively make your own way to Corralejo Harbour, at the far end and be there no later than 10:15. Prices from € 59 per person

The Corralejo Canarian Market is located in the El Campanario Shopping Centre in Corralejo, Fuerteventura and takes place every Thursday from 10:00 til 14:00. 

Apart from the market there is a good selection of restaurants and cafes and live entertainment. There's also a tower with magnificent views of the surrounding area and the island of Lobos. El Campanario is on the number 6 bus route which runs between Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo.

The busy tourist town of Corralejo has a harbour, which was originally used by local fishermen, and now has a marina, and a ferry terminal. From here you can take the ferry to the nearby island of Lanzarote, passing the island of Los Lobos on the way, which you can also take a ferry to. Apart from the hundreds of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, villas and apartments some of the island's finest beaches can also be found here. There's eleven kilometres of top quality sand that stretches along the coast south of Corralejo where there are sand dunes.

Apart from the Artisan Market, there's much more to see in El Cotillo, quite a large fishing village located on the north west coast of Fuerteventura in the municipality of La Oliva. It's not as busy as the nearby resort of Corralejo but has many bars, restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, villas and apartments. El Cotillo has some of the island's finest beaches, along with some magnificent views of cliffs, and its rugged landscape.

There are regular buses from the major tourist resorts of Caleta de Fuste and Corralejo that go to and from the bus station.

Puerto del Rosario is a town with two centuries of history and has been the island’s capital since the mid-twentieth century. As the hub of administration, trade, culture and leisure for Fuerteventura, it buzzes with all kinds of activity both planned and spontaneous throughout the year.
