This beach is situated between the two large hotels in the sand dunes and easily accessible via bus from Corralejo, or Puerto. To access these beaches on foot or cycling head south from Beach Cafe on the seafront across the waste ground, or by car park at the Atlantico Centre where there is ample free parking.

The long beach of Gran Tarajal comprises of fine dark sand. It is not a tourist beach, it is frequented by locals and ex pats. Beach football is available and open showers and water taps (not drinking water) are situated along the beach. A selection of bars and restaurants are located along the beach and you may park on the roadside in town or in the marked bays.

200 metres of silver sand makes up Caleta de Beatriz Beach. This Jewel of a beach sits on the northernmost point of the island. This is one of Fuerteventura's prize beaches and yet it is very often deserted. This could be because it lies along an unpaved road. Located on the West coast of Fuerteventura where, as always, the sea is wild. La Escalera translates as the stairs and this is in accordance to the steep steps you must descend in  order to reach the beach. No services are available, therefore you will need to take provisions. The beach is usually deserted; you can relax and enjoy solitude amongst the crashing of the waves.

Los Molinos Beach is a small sandy beach located in the small village of Los Molinos on the west coast of Feurteventura. El Hierro Beach is situated on the north coast of the Fuerteventura. The beach is not really suitable for swimming because of the rough conditions and stony access to the water. It's suitable for the experienced surfers and windsurfers who can often be seen here, well worth a visit just to watch them if you don't surf.

Charco de Bristol is yet another example of Corralejo's top quality sand.  This beach stretches to 100 metres in length and has a width spanning approximately 30 metres. Although the sea is usually wild around Corralejo (perfect for surfing) Charco de Bristol is much softer and therefore ideal for swimming.

Located in the dunes of Corralejo, the 300 metres of white sand that is El Burro translates as the donkey. There are however, no donkey rides here. This beach is popular with kite surfers and is home to the Fuerteventura Kite Festival. It takes place over a three day period during a weekend early in November.This is a truly amazing festival on one of the worlds most beautiful of beaches. Not to be missed!

In contrast to its name, 500 metres of white sand of the most excellent quality makes up Bajo Negro beach. It is situated opposite the Corralejo sand dunes in the north of the island. A visit to Bajo Negro is an amazing experience not to be missed!

Esquinzo beach is an isolated beach located approximately 6 kilometres south of El Cotillo, accessible via a dirt track/gravel road. Discover the origins of the famous Majorero cheese at the Majorero Cheese Museum. The Majorera goats are acknowledged to be amongst the most productive in the world, the excellent quality of their dense, aromatic and fatty milk is one of the main secrets of Majorero cheese.

The Majorero Cheese Museum is located in Antigua, Fuerteventura, as well as the Museum there's also a windmill, gardens, a shop and restaurant.

The Del Carmen Saltworks Museum is located in the Del Carmen Saltworks at Las Salinas, Fuerteventura.

The only saltworks in Fuerteventura still in operation, comprised of 10 intake ponds, nearly 1000 condensation ponds, the salt warehouse, the salt worker’s house and  the remains of the old quay.

The Los Molinos Interpretation Centre in Tiscamanita makes us aware of the importance of grain to Fuerteventura and its importance to the economy of the island for centuries. The grain was harvested from wild seeds and ground in stone mortars and hand mills in the days before windmills.

As well as exploring the different rooms of this old building,discovering the history of cereal cultivation,the milling systems and Gofio (toasted cornmeal) there's also a widmill you can go inside.
