El Hierro Beach is situated on the north coast of the Fuerteventura. The beach is not really suitable for swimming because of the rough conditions and stony access to the water. It's suitable for the experienced surfers and windsurfers who can often be seen here, well worth a visit just to watch them if you don't surf.

Majanicho is the northernmost village on Feurteventura and is in the municipality of La Olivia. It's a small picturesque village and has residential houses and there are no restaurants or shops. A perfect place to visit for some r and r with little occupation and not a tourist hot spot.

Passed by El Hierro Beach on the coastal route to El Cotillo, saw some surfers so couldn't resist stopping for an hour or more to watch, they were awesome, I'm not sure if they're there every day but it's worth a visit. Was quite funny watching the dogs watching the surfers, I guess they were the owners.

Serious Surfers at El Hierro Beach

Very entertaining watching surfers at El Hierro Beach, pretty extreme, I have no idea how they didn't end up on the rocks, just before the rocks they seemed to get sucked back out for a new wave each time, no help or lifeguards, screw up and you die I guess. Well worth a visit to sit on the beach and watch.

Beautiful sandy beach with amazing views and scenery, not many people, mostly surfers and spectators, perfect for watching and sunbathing. El Hierro Beach is locted between Majanicho and El Cotillo and accessiblr via a dirt/pebble track which runs from Corralejo to El Cotillo. There are no facilities so take supplies with you.
