La Escalera translates as the stairs and this is in accordance to the steep steps you must descend in  order to reach the beach. No services are available, therefore you will need to take provisions. Located in the dunes of Corralejo, the 300 metres of white sand that is El Burro translates as the donkey. There are however, no donkey rides here. This beach is popular with kite surfers and is home to the Fuerteventura Kite Festival.
