Fuerteventura Carnivals
The Fuerteventura Carnival season is between February and March, carnivals are held in the larger towns and usually have a different theme each year. These are quite an experience and well worth a visit especially on the night of the main procession. The locals seriously let their hair down, and thousands of people dress up in fancy dress, and party hard. Carnivals usually last for several days and end with a loud, and colourful parade of floats with thousands of people dancing, singing, drinking, eating and being happy. Everyone is welcome to join in, dress up and have a good time.
