American Coffee 1950 is located in Gran Tarajal, Fuerteventura.

The coastal town of Gran Tarajal has many bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, a beach with dark sand, a harbour and marina, and is accessible by bus from Puerto del Rosario. Fresh locally caught fish can be eaten here in many local restaurants.

The name Gran Tarajal derives from the year 1740 when Tuineje saw the battle fought by an English Privateer with the ship named Grand Tarajal. At one time the port of Gran Tarajal was responsible for the export of the entire island's tomato production, today Gran Tarajal is mostly populated with locals and ex pats. It is home to one of the island's largest lime kilns, the Gran Tarajal Lime Kiln built in 1953.
