Carnivals
The Fuerteventura Carnival season is between February and March, carnivals are held in the larger towns and usually have a different theme each year. These are quite an experience, the locals seriously let their hair down, and thousands of people dress up in fancy dress, and party hard. Carnivals usually last for several days and end with a loud, and colourful parade of floats with thousands of people dancing, singing, drinking, eating and being happy.

Caleta de Fuste Carnival 2020
The 2020 Caleta de Fuste carnival takes place beteween February 21st and February 23rd in Caleta de Fuste,Fuerteventura. This year the carnival theme is Music through time.

The busy tourist town of Caleta de Fuste, also known as Caleta, or Castillo is situated in the centre of the island on the east coast 7 kilometres from Fuerteventura International Airport in the municipality of Antigua. Apart from the many bars, restaurants, and coffee shops, there are some nice beaches with fine golden sand and crystal-clear water, and a small harbour. Other nearby facilities include a convention centre, two golf courses, and a casino.
