Lajares Traditional Market (Mercado Tradiciones’ de Lajares) is held every Saturday between 10:00 and 15:00 in the square in Plaza de Los Lajares, Lajares, Fuerteventura.
You will find all kinds of products made on the island, the market is held between third Saturday in January and the last Saturday in December
The small inland village of Lajares is famous for its exquisite embroidery, and the famous Majorera craftswoman Natividad Lopez opened a workshop here. This village is home to some superb architecture, the houses are built from volcanic rock, the same rock that adorns the landscape.
The town of Lajares is on the bus route from Corralejo to El Cotillo.
