The very quiet and peaceful village of Puerto Lajas is situated on the eastern coast of the island. Puerto Lajas is around ten minutes by car from Puerto del Rosario and is also on the number 6 bus route between Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo. There's a nice beach, which is quite big and often empty, along with at least two restaurants.

Puerto Lajas is a lovely peaceful place, went for a long walk this morning, no people, and a nice sunrise.

A nice place for a walk, with a couple of bars along the beach, very peaceful with hardly any people about. Worth checking out if you want to get away from the main tourist resorts.
