Yellowfin Tuna or Rabil,Fuerteventura Nature

The Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus albacares) known locally in Fuerteventura as Rabil are found in Fuerteventura waters.
Yellowfin Tuna have streamlined, torpedo-shaped bodies adapted to fast and continuous swimming with a metallic, dark blue back and yellow to silver belly.
They mostly inhabit depths in the top 100 metres of the water column and can grow to a length of 240 centimetres and exceed 150 kg in weight.
Yellowfin is often served raw as sashimi and in sushi and due to its quite high fat content, Yellowfin is excellent grilled or barbecued.
