It is important to know the beach flags as the sea conditions can be changeable.

RED FLAG         =  Dangerous conditions. Not safe to swim.

YELLOW FLAG =  Somewhat unsafe. Exercise caution.

GREEN FLAG   =  Safe conditions. Suitable for swimming

Often you will see two red flags marking the rip tide and indicating that it is not safe to swim between the two flags, if you are ever unsure, or need advice, speak to a lifeguard, they are normally very helpful, and most speak good English.
