Constitution Day or Día de la Constitución is a public holiday in Fuerteventura and is on is on December 6th. Should this day fall on a Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday will officially be a holiday.
Constitution Day is a Spanish holiday commemorating the adoption of Spain’s current constitution, which passed by referendum on 6 December 1978.
Public transport operates a Sunday timetable, banks and government offices are usually closed along with certain shops including supermarkets, especially those located outside of the main tourist resorts.
