Corralejo
The bustling tourist destination of Corralejo is situated on the northern shores of Fuerteventura within the La Oliva municipality. The historic center revolves around the port, which initially served local fishermen and now features a marina and a ferry terminal. From this point, you can catch a ferry to the nearby Lanzarote island, passing by Los Lobos island along the way, which also has ferry services available. In addition to the numerous bars, eateries, coffee houses, hotels, villas, and apartments, some of the island's most beautiful beaches are located here. There are eleven kilometers of high-quality sandy shoreline extending south of Corralejo, where stunning sand dunes can also be found, constantly reshaped by the winds.
Corralejo is a contemporary, relaxed low-rise resort that attracts beach enthusiasts for its year-round sunshine, surfers for the waves, families for the myriad activities available, and couples looking to unwind and soak in the natural atmosphere of Fuerteventura, with countless spots to relax, dine, drink, or dance and socialize. Corralejo is not particularly large, making it easy to navigate on foot, and bike rentals are available, with taxis being quite affordable compared to those in the UK.
