Located inland and west of the municipal is the village of Tuineje. It is home to the ruins of Berber buildings, and it was in these places that Berber slaves were kept hostage. Tuineje is also home to the Church of San Miguel; this building was damaged by invaders they took the arm and the stick from the sculpture of the saint as a trophy. This village is popular with hikers, there is an interesting route that starts at the graveyard and finishes at the peak of the Manitaga Mountian. From here you can enjoy simply breathtaking views and then if you wish, you can walk down to the village of Toto.

To visit La Alcogida is to experience the way of life of Fuerteventuran peasants over the last few decades. Stone houses, whitewashed and with gabled roofs, welcome the visitor to the La Alcogida Eco-Museum, located in the village of Tefía in Puerto del Rosario. Its roofs are made of “torta” (a mix of water, earth and straw) which, with the advent of winter rains, is what gives the walls their ancient appearance. In summer the walls are repainted to once again display their pure and perfect white.

The Majorero Cheese Museum is located in Antigua, Fuerteventura, as well as the Museum there's also a windmill, gardens, a shop and restaurant.

The only saltworks in Fuerteventura still in operation, comprised of 10 intake ponds, nearly 1000 condensation ponds, the salt warehouse, the salt worker’s house and  the remains of the old quay.
