Sailing with Snorkelling and Dolphin Watching
Set sail onto the stunning blue waters surrounding Fuerteventura and enjoy a day of swimming and snorkelling to cool off from the warm weather. Along the trip, marvel at the marine life all around including manta rays, dolphins, and if you’re lucky, whales.
The tour starts with a visit to the harbour to marvel at the beautiful manta rays that live here and watch this beautiful creature swimming along the bottom of the sea floor. After the manta ray viewing, it's time to hop on board your sailing boat for the day for a short briefing of the day’s itinerary.
Then it’s time to set sail and leave the harbour, heading out towards the open seas the captain will bring up the sails and turn off the engine. Listen to the radio communications from local fishermen and listen out for sightings of marine wildlife, including dolphins and whales. If they’re in the area, the captain will sail the boat towards them for the chance to take some photos and admire these elegant creatures up close.
During the rest of the sail, enjoy the stunning sea views that surround you and soak up the glorious Fuerteventura sunshine. After about 2 hours of sailing, the captain drops anchor and there’s time for swimming and snorkelling in the shimmering blue waters. After your swim, enjoy a selection of tapas dishes made from local recipes and relax with a drink as you sail back to shore.

Morro Jable
Morro Jable is located in the south and is one of the most popular tourist resorts on Fuerteventura. It's very picturesque, the buildings are white and residential houses stretch from the town centre down to the beach. It's also home to a port, where you can take a ferry to Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, or Santa Cruz in Tenerife. Primarily a fishing village, each July the locals celebrate the festival of La Virgen del Carmen the patron saint of fishermen. Morro Jable is home to the annual international wind surfing championships, and has some amazing beaches.
Many boating as well a land based trips, tours and excursions depart from Morro Jable Harbour which is also home to the Turtle Nursery, or the Sea Turtle Recovery and Conservation Center which is well worth visiting and supporting.
The Sailing with Snorkelling and Dolphin Watching trip takes place daily on weekdays departing at 10:30 from Morro Jable Harbour.
Prices from €85 per person.

Average
During April it’s quite mild in Fuerteventura with a daily average temperature of 20°C, a daily average maximum of 23°C and a daily average minimum of 16°C. The average sea temperature is 19°C, the average rainfall for the month is 1mm, average humidity is 65% with an average of 8 daily sunshine hours.
Don't be deceived by these low temperatures, they're recorded in the shade so if you're in the sun out of the wind it gets very hot so don't forget the sun protection.
In the evenings it’s a good idea to take a scarf, fleece or a light jacket especially if you're outside in the wind.
