La Barra Beach (Playa La Barra) is a beautiful beach with white sand, and crystal clear calm water protected from the open ocean. Situated on the north west coast of Fuerteventura just north of La Concha Beach this beach is popular with locals who often camp and barbeque here. The water is shallow, perfect for young children and a great beach to relax on or take a refreshing swim at high tide.

A nice little beach without tourists

A nice little beach just up the road from La Concha without tourists, there were just locals camping most of them were there for FEM 2019 so it's probably empty at other times. Fine white sand and crystal clear water, well worth a visit if you want to avoid the crowds at other beaches in the area.

Lovely little beach for a romantic walk and beautiful sunset

What a lovely little beach for a romantic evening walk and beautiful sunset, we usually stay in Corralejo but this year we tried El Cotillo and will be coming here from now on. It's so much nicer here without the tourist crowds and the beaches are super amazing.

Flying Kite Surfers
Saw some Flying Kite Surfers pass by here, was amazing, they seemed to be following the coast and heading South towards El Cotillo. There were a few people fishing from the rocks too, maybe it's a good spot.

Walked along these beaches and watched the sunset and was amazed that there were no people except us. The water was crystal clear and still quite warm around 7.30 pm so we couldn't resist a quick dip.
