Ringed Plover,Fuerteventura Nature
The Ringed Plover (Charadrius hiaticula) also known as the common ringed plover can be seen around the coast of Fuerteventura, they reach a length of up tol 19.5 centimetres with a wingspan of up to 41 centimetres
They have a grey-brown back and wings, a white belly, and a white breast with a single black neckband, a brown cap, a white forehead, a black mask around the eyes and a short orange and black bill and orange legs.
