El Cotillo Festivities in honor of Our Lady of the Good Journey (Fiestas en honor a Nuestra Señora del Buen Viaje) take place during August each year in El Cotillo Fuerteventura.
One of the highlights of the fiesta is the fishing and fish feast. At high tide a fishing net is set in the water, as the tide goes out and the water level drops fish are trapped and collected by fishermen and many volunteers. The fish are cooked as part of the festivities and all are welcome.

Finally the 2022 dates and schedule have been released for the return of the El Cotillo Fiestas en honor a Nuestra Señora del Buen Viaje. The fiestas take place between August 16th and August 28th 2022 starting at 17:00 today in El Cotillo. The main day is August 21st.

Visited on the main day of the fiesta, it was quite busy with a couple of thousand people, great fun and plenty of people partying all day and late into the night. There were quite a few boats, plenty of places to eat and drink and live music.
