HotThe Festival of San Diego (Fiesta de San Diego) is held in Betancuria, in the Hermitage of San Diego on November 13th each year. The devotion to San Diego was widespread in the past, probably due to the fact that San Diego de Alcalá resided for some time in the Franciscan convent of Betancuria, and that according to tradition retreated to pray in a small cave which is located at the head of the Hermitage of San Diego.
